We decided to take a slower paced day today, with some sight seeing, shopping and a visit to a famous pub. We took a ‘black cab’ (aka taxi) to Kensington Palace (where Prince William, Princess Kate and their family lives), walked Embassy Row and made it to our final destination, The Churchill Arms Pub.

This Pub was made famous during WWII when Winston Churchill used to make his nightly addresses about the war to the nation from one of the rooms in the back. On November 30th, they celebrate Winston Churchill’s birthday. Luckily we had a reservation. We enjoyed a few pints, had some lunch – this pub served thai food – and then we were ready to go shopping …

We took the TUBE to Burberry where my family bought me a new purse for my birthday. Then we walked to Harrods where we enjoyed walking through (and buying some souvenirs) in one of the most famous department stores in the world.
