Our last few days in Athens we spent walking around sightseeing. We saw the changing of the guards at the parliament, the National Gardens and the Olympic stadium.

Near Monastariki Square was the Agora. This was an amazing site filled with ruins from ancient times. It was the ancients Greeks’ main city where they lived as well as their political center.

There was also a museum, which housed pottery and relics discovered in this area, some over 3000 years old.

Wandering around Athens, you will see A LOT of CATS. They are everywhere. The locals feed them and they just lounge around.

We have enjoyed some fantastic meals made with the freshest ingredients, traditional Greek coffee and the best wine for $4.00.
