Today began with a taxi ride down to the Ferry port, where we would hop on a ferry to Mykonos. It was a 2 1/2 hour ride, and a bit bumpy but it was definitely an experience. We got on with about 700 people, all at the same time. With all our suitcases and personal belongings in tow. Once on board we did have assigned seat and it was very comfortable.
Once we got to Mykonos, we had to get off the ferry boat, again along with 700 people, with all our personal belongings. We then took a water taxi, to the old port. Once we got there, we then had to walk and find our Air BnB. Which wasn’t easy, with all suitcases, the cobblestone streets and no sense of direction. Eventually we found our place and got settled in.
We decided to go out for a nice seafood dinner and walk around the town a bit.
The next day, we walked to the windmills and got better acquainted with the old town of Mykonos.
Our condo was centrally located and was walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, it was very convenient and made it easy for all of us.
