We left Bayeaux this morning and had to take three separate trains during a 7 hour stretch to get to our next destination – the town of Amboise in the Loire Valley. Famous for its many chateaus and wineries. Once we got here our taxi took us to our r bed and breakfast in a French manor house.
We were greeted by a young man Paul who made our tour arrangements tomorrow and then carried our suitcases up three flights of stairs to our room. It’s very quaint and filled with French antiques and charm.
Then we walked 10 minutes to the center of the old town filled with shops and restaurants. We found a nice place for dinner and then came back to our hotel. We had a long and tiring day of travel and we are looking forward to our day trip tomorrow.
