My daughter Lauren is lucky to be able to travel to different parts of teh US for work. Sometimes I get an invitation to join her on these trips. This was one of those times, and I was blessed to not only go t o a city I have never been to, but able to see it with Lauren …
Our first day was rainy, and we started out in Georgetown.
We then took an Uber to the Mall, and walked to Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, several of the War Memorials and Martin Luther King Memorial.
Wen the rain got too heavy we ducked into the Museum of American History and enjoyed a few hours learning more about the USA. Our favorite exhibit, was the Hall of First Ladies. On display were the dresses and gowns from many of the first ladies as well as a place setting of each of their china designs used in the White House when they lived there.
Once we finished we took thw subway back to our hotel, and enjoyed a nice dinner with some of Lauren’s co-workers.
